Attention

Although the acrylic sheet has excellent physical, mechanical and thermal properties,as a thermoplastic sheet, it still needs to be paid attention to the high temperature, scratch and solvent In uses .

1、Temperature

The long-term service temperature of acrylic sheet is below 80 degrees Celsius, and It will be distorted at high temperature so that the storage temperature should be under 50 degrees Celsius at least.

2、Attention to injuries and scratches

Although the surface hardness of acrylic sheet is approximately same as aluminum,we still should be careful about the surface scratched during using .Even though it is a harder type in plastics. To protect its surface, coating with PE or brown paper on both sides.  In order to prevent scars, adhesion dust, it is recommended to use them as much as possible of the protection paper, and finally peel off..In addition,Please wear protective equipment and gloves while protecting your hands and the surface of acrylic sheet.When removing the dirt on sheet surface, please use soft cloth with water or neutral detergent to wash it.

3、Dust collection

please kindly note, If use dry cloth to wipe the surface of acrylic sheet forcibly, the static charge may build up to collect even more dust on the surface.It is recommended that you use an antistatic agent, or a dampened cloth with antistatic agent methanol, and wipe it gently.

4、Thermal  expansion

Acrylic sheet like many plastics,has thermal expansion.Considerate of the expansion that caused by temperature change. It’s hoped to be able to keep and process (use) under constant conditions.If there is a temperature difference, for example, under the condition of 20 degrees Celsius temperature difference, the length of 1mm is about 1.4mm.

5、Water absorption

CAST ACRYLIC SHEET dimension will be changed because of humidity.Though such changes by humidity is not as fast as thermal ones,humidity condition should be carefully watched out. If  the water absorption of plate is uneven, it’s extension varies with each part of plate ,and sometimes warpage occurs .Water absorption, if excessive, may lead to bubbling during thermoforming or crazing after printing or painting. It is therefore recommended that storage and working areas should be air-conditioned.

6、Solvent attack

Cast acrylic sheet can be attacked by organic solvent or coating material resulting in micro cracks formed on the sheet surface.Therefore itshould be avoidedstoring CAST ACRYLIC SHEET inpaint storage room, spray room and other places with solvent vapor, please use it in a clean site.

7、Combustion characteristics

CAST ACRLIC SHEET is not flammable dangerous goods（ignition temperature of 400℃）, but burns when exposed to fire.

8、Storage positioning

The placement of acrylic sheet can be horizontal and vertical. It will happen warping phenomenon when you use improper storage.

Either of the following is recommended.

(a) Standing

Tilt inclined at 10-degree angle when it is put in vertical，place the sheets tight to each other. It is recommended to keep the total thickness of sheets within 30 cm.

(b) Stacking

When placed horizontally, keep the same size of sheets is much preferred,the total height of a stack should not exceed 50 cm. In case sheets of different sizes are stacked, avoid an overhang with the smaller size sheet always placed on top of the larger ones. Also the total height of a stack should not exceed 50 cm.
